Hayk Kakosyan
Solo Exhibition “The Theater of Forms and Fantasies”
Meeting with art
On December 3, 2025, a solo exhibition by Hayk Kakosyan took place — an artist whose work blends surrealism, grotesque elements, and subtle psychological imagery. His characters seem to come alive on the boundary between fantasy and reality: elongated figures, whimsical creatures, theatrical gestures, and symbolic details form the artist’s unique and instantly recognizable visual language.

This exhibition was organized for charitable purposes.
We helped a talented artist make his voice heard and present his works to a wide audience. The sale of artworks was held in a silent auction format, where guests could place their bids confidentially and support the artist in a thoughtful, delicate way. Through the sale of paintings and souvenir postcards, a total of 1,900,000 AMD was raised — an amount that became meaningful support for Hayk and his family.

We express our sincere gratitude to everyone who attended the exhibition, supported Hayk, and shared this important day with us. Your attention, participation, and kind words made the event truly special.
The loss of hearing at an early age due to illness did not prevent him from entering the complex and fascinating world of art or from expressing his emotions and experiences in his own unique way.
What for many might have been a limitation became, for Hayk, a source of inner strength. Thanks to this, his works are expressive, emotional, and filled with an internal rhythm.
An important role in Hayk’s artistic development was played by his father, Eduard Kakosyan—a painter, silversmith, folk master, and honorary member of the Artists’ Union of Armenia. Under his influence, Hayk became acquainted from childhood with the magical world of color and imagery.

rhythmic compositions where movement replaces melody

emotions conveyed through body plasticity rather than words

theatrical, almost marionette-like figures, in which every gesture carries meaning

symbolism and grotesque born from the inner world and unrestricted creativity

The exhibition features works created between 2020–2025, presenting a wide array of visual stories about the human condition, imagination, solitude, humor, and calm, profound self-irony.
Every piece is a small performance.
Every character—a personality full of secrets.
Every glance—an invitation into a world where lines replace music, and color speaks more powerfully than words.
This exhibition is a space where the viewer can see how silence becomes art, and the artist’s inner world becomes a source of astonishing imagery.
The artist's work
Hayk Kakosyan is an exceptionally talented painter. His honesty and inner purity flow like the crystal-clear waters of mountain springs, reflected both in his spiritual world and in his creative style. In his reflections, one always senses the breath of national roots and the dream of fairy-tale worlds. He portrays the relationship between humans and animals with utmost sincerity, approaching both with equal love and deep respect.
Hayk Kakosyan’s art is an infinite world—of purity, truth, and the beauty of the soul.
